The morning light slanted across his shoulders, catching the sharp line of his jaw, the little beards he hadn’t bothered to shave. He stopped beside the tall window, and stared outside through the window, his face looking thoughtful for a brief second before he turned to stare at me with a faint smile plastered on his face.
“Glass of water,” he said quietly. I blinked, startled out of the frozen silence.
