I shut my eyes as the plane took off, headed for France. It's been just a few months since I left home, but it felt like ages, and surprisingly, I had missed it.

As much as I tried to prevent it, my mind kept drifting back to Jovita. I wondered what she was doing, and hoped she was fine.

Seth, Phil, and Conan had promised to watch over her while I was away. Though I didn't like the idea of Seth being with her, people were known to go the extra mile to protect the ones they cherished the most, and in this case, it was Jovita.
