Jayden goes to stand by the window.

“I'm not sure you want to know about my past Jovita, it's too dark, even for you”. His voice is low and broken.

I walk up to him, and wrap my arms around his waist, and I feel his body still, then relax against me. I could hear his heartbeat thumbing in my ear.

He turned to face me, taking both of my hands in his. “Promise me you'd stay even after everything you hear”, he asked.

His hazel eyes searched mine, and I could see the fear buried deep within in.
