Lucian’s POV

Trying to keep my mind on the road as I drove through the rough terrain that led to Lucian’s house, I wondered what made him choose this area of all places to build a house. There were more luxurious areas in and around the city but Lucian had chosen a rainforest to build his home; he claimed it made him connect more to nature and to the things around.

On a normal day, I would have invited him over, but yesterday was no normal day and the issue at hand required urgency.
