Lily’s POV

“But what if someone flirts with you?” Vincent suddenly asked. “What if someone courts you? I mean, someone might chase you because you’re beautiful.”

I stopped in front of the door and turned to him. “Are you serious?” I asked, frowning. “I told you to stop saying nonsense, right?”

“Okay, I’m sorry, don’t be mad. I’m just teasing you,” he said and laughed. “Alright, let’s change the topic. How’s your first day at work?” 

He changed the topic because he knew that I am starting to get annoyed. I hate this kind of conversation, but he always opening it up whenever he sees a guy...
