Lily’s POV

It’s the first time I rode in an expensive car. It felt different and surreal. She simply looked at Mr. Romano. He was driving seriously. You won’t know what he is thinking. I was busy admiring his driving skills when my phone rang suddenly, it was my mother who’s calling.

I glanced at my boss and caught him looking at me. My chest hammered instantly.

“Why don’t you answer it? Maybe it’s an important call,” he said.

“Lily, you’re still at work?” Mom asked as soon as I answered the call.

“Yes, mom,” I said.
