CHRISTINE’S CONFESSION
The car had been parked in the Smith's Corporation parking lot for nearly twenty minutes, but Adrian sat still, making no move to get out.
The driver had stepped out to open the door the moment they pulled in, but Adrian had calmly gestured for him to close it.
Twenty minutes passed. The driver glanced back through the rearview mirror, his brows furrowed as he watched Adrian sit motionless, he wasn't checking his phone, nor reviewing any documents. His mind seemed to be miles away.
