Sid sat down and let the cat mess around for a while, then, perhaps bored, let go and managed to keep the tips of Sid's fingers intact.

When it was released, Sid put it back in the box, picked it up, and said to the cat, "Take you to your new home."

The cat barked twice more, as if he understood what Sid was saying, and poked its round, fluffy head out of the box.

Sid returned to the villa with the cardboard box.

Mary was surprised to see the beautiful cat, and asked Laura to come out to see it.

When Laura came out, Sid was a little hopeful....
