"She owes me a favor from a few years ago. I helped her with something and she said if I ever needed anything to call her. So I'm calling in that favor now."

We drove through the gates of the mansion and onto the main road. I stole a quick glance at Soraya, watching her stare out the window, lost in her thoughts.

I could see the tension tightened in her face, the crease between her eyebrows that she tries to hide but never quite manages. I’ve known that look since we got in the car. She’s worrying, and I can feel it from here.
