"Stupid" I muttered to myself. "You're being stupid."

My wolf growled in disagreement. It didn't think caring about our mate was stupid. I thought caring about our mate was the most natural thing in the world.

About an hour into the drive I noticed Soraya was shivering even with my jacket over her. The temperature had dropped as we got deeper into the forest and the car's heater wasn't working as well as it should. I made a mental note to have someone look at it when we got back.
