He can’t be here not now; when I am broken and I have no means to protect my son, on one hand, I can’t even run away, I can’t go back to my home and on the other hand, I can’t accept Blake’s offer, I can not and I will not let him ruin my son’s life.

Through out last night, I could barely sleep, all I could think about was Lucas. What is he doing here, why did he look happy to see my face, what did he think was going to happen when we met and most importantly, how do I protect my son from the monster that once broke my heart.

Being home this morning, I was quick to make a call to Sam’s mom, the kid Ethan slept the night at his place, I wanted her to be with Ethan till I come pick him up later today, I had to find a solution to all of this before I would be able to bring him home with me.

“Beth.” I heard one of my workers called me, their voice pulled me out of my thoughts, I had sore eyes and a frown on my face, anyone that saw me knew the fact that I didn’t sleep all through last night.

“What’s wrong Emma.” I whispered, I looked up at her and I gave her a smile.

“Blake is here.” She whispered against her breath. She knew his pals was one of the strongest and she knew she could not utter his name without being punished for, her eyes met mine and she nodded.

“Just bring him in.” I whispered against my breath, I can think about Lucas later, for now, I had this monster on my hand.

I looked across the room and I waited for a while until he walked in, with a smile on his face.

“Have you thought about my offer Beth.” He said and my breath hitched, he always finds a way to intimated me.

“No.” I whispered against my breath, I would be damned before I let my son be with a man that is not his father, and he didn’t care for my son, he didn’t care if he was good or not.

“I didn’t hear you Beth.” Blake smiled, my eyes met his and I smiled.

“No I will not stay with you, I will not place by son’s life in your hand.” I mumbled against my breath and he nodded, when he didn’t speak and nod, I knew that was the end for me.

He gave me his biggest smile and he moved closer to me.

“You won’t be the woman I love if you don’t fight against me, if you don’t get on my last damn nerves.” He whispered, his voice so chilling and troubling, I gulped down a pang of my saliva and my eyes met his.

He didn’t waste time in heading out of the room and leaving me all alone, he will come for my home, that’s what he meant, I headed out of the place and I was able to rush to my house, breaking every rule, I drove as fast as I could.

By the time I got there, there was someone standing by the front of my door, one call was enough to make me not step into my house again.

The man standing didn’t have to tell me what I was happening, he was changing the locks, he was not looking at me and he didn’t care when I yelled over and over again.

“Just tell me what is going on.” I whispered again and he ignore same, it was just like that other man by the bakery, they worked for the monster and they will never tell me what he wanted fork me

Neither of the neighbors would be willing to help me, they know who is behind this and they will be dead before they do, after a couple of minutes, I sat by the door and I pulled out my phone.

“Heather can you please keep Ethan for the night.” I whispered, I was trying to hold back some tears, I just need to find a way to get into the house, I have enough money to get us a motel for a come of days before I think of what I could do next.

“What’s wrong Beth.” She asked, her voice filled with concern and I didn’t speak, if she knew it it had to do with Blake, she will throw out my son and she will not want anyone to come close to us.

“It’s just, some issues Heather, please just let him be with you, I promise to come get him by tomorrow morning.” I whispered; “can I talk to him.” I asked and she instantly handed him over the phone.

My Ethan has always been a curious kid; he has always had this will to find out what was happening and I didn’t tell him, all he needed to know is that, we will be fine, once I was done speaking to him.

I heard the rumble of thunder strike against the sky, a tear slipped out of my eyes, how did my life go so wrong, it all started when I fell in love with my father’s son biggest enemy and when he betrayed me and now here I was, standing outside of my house.

I felt the saltiness of my tears slip into my mouth and my breath hitches as I cried, I could feel the rain starting to dance it’s way through my body, that’s is what it’s left of my dignity.

I had thought that was all until the sounds of a car pulled me out of my thoughts, my eyes peered up and I saw a car parked beside him.

My first thought was Blake, but it wasn’t. It was the monster that betrayed me.
