Liam couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that clung to him since Aria’s release. As he sat in his office the following day, he replayed the threats from her father, Charles Weston, over and over in his mind. The man was clearly not one to make empty promises. Liam knew he had to be ready for anything Charles might throw his way, especially after having had to give in to his demand to protect his family.

The knock on the door broke his thoughts. “Come in,” he called.
