Chapter 73

Talia woke before dawn, the room was still dark and silent except for the soft sound of Damon's breathing from across the room.

She turned her head carefully, making sure. Damon was asleep. His back was to her and he was completely still.

Talia quietly slipped out of bed and crept to the door, holding her breath as she turned the handle.

The click sounded too loud in the silence but Damon didn't move. Talia slipped out and closed the door behind her.

The hallway of the dormitory was even quieter and she shuffled her way until she was close to the classroom.
