Chapter 12

Talia felt heat seep through her body, and she couldn't bring herself to look away from Damon's piercing gaze. She thought of making an excuse to cover up for her foolishness, but her lips wouldn't move.

"Can you get that?" 

It took a moment for Talia to register Damon's voice. And another, to hear the sounds of someone knocking impatiently. She nodded quickly, and almost tripped over the lotion, but Damon told her to watch out. She grabbed a hold of the lotion, and placed it right on the table, as she walked towards the door quickly.
