Chapter 48

Talia woke up on the cold concrete floor and the first thing she noticed was how her body hurt everywhere. 

Her muscles screamed when she tried to move and throat felt sore like she’d been crying all night. 

She blinked in the dim light, noticing the dust particles floated in the air.

Where am I?

She looked around slowly and she realised that she was still in the storage shed behind the dormitory.

What happened? she asked Titi, trying and failing to stand. 

‘I don't know,’ her wolf answered. She sounded tired.
