Chapter 4

Chapter 4

- You're all like that! - he quietly growled and sat on a chair, - I want to go to the ward.

- Can you tell me what kind of dreams you have? When you manage to fall asleep, do you dream?

The man sat for about a couple of minutes waiting for an answer, but he never received it. There was a squeak in the room, the doors opened.

- Did you call? The young orderly looked in first.

- Take me to the ward, - Pirel put the pills in the pocket of his dressing gown and collected the documents.

The man wanted the guy to be off drugs. One of the side effects was an uncontrollable display of aggression, so he now refused to trust him. It's hard to give the impression to psychiatric patients that you should be trusted with all secrets and thoughts. Many normal people do not trust this to others, and at some point it is simply impossible to get a paranoid person to entrust their thoughts to you.

- Goodbye, - Pirel looked at the patient and picked up a cup of coffee.

The drink had already cooled down, the session dragged on. The man smiled at the last croissant and took it to eat. Do not disappear the same good?

- Pirel, you should rest, no matter how you look, - the young orderly smiled softly.

“Now I’ll do this,” the man whispered briefly and left for his office.

In the spacious room there was a large sofa right in the middle, a table took its place by the window, a closet in the corner, and a hanger by the door. The man locked the door with a key, took off his white bathrobe, hung it on a hanger, closed the thick dark curtains and sat comfortably on the sofa. Drinking coffee in the morning could not save him from sleep. The body needed rest, as well as the mind, which the doctor did. Dreams in the psychiatric hospital were constantly vague. The very aura of the building and the patients seemed to prevent anyone from having dreams that were not related to this place.

The man was sitting at the table in the isolation room. He looked around and noticed a young guy at the door. Dark hair, covering the edges of the ears, the back of the head and forehead, slightly covered the bright blue eyes. Pirel chuckled.

- Am I so carried away that now I dream of Dino himself? Is that you?

The guy grinned. His smile was the one smiled by maniacs and murderers. He walked closer to the doctor and took the man by the hand.

- I came to warn, - he put Pirel's hand on the table and waved the hammer, - Do not touch it, - Dino hit the table with a hammer for a centimeter from the doctor's hand, - Otherwise, next time I won't miss.

The man woke up abruptly and sat on the couch. His breath hitched, his body shrouded in goosebumps, his face was covered in cold sweat, and his wrists, which Dino held so tightly in his hand, burned and burned. Pirel preferred the idea that he imagines his dreams very well so that the place where he was touched in a dream would burn. Of course, Dino occupied all his thoughts and it is not surprising that the boy dreamed of him, but the feeling of anxiety did not leave the doctor.

- Who was his neighbor? - the man turned on the light in the office and opened the folder with the documents of the patient 4505.

The card should record the patients with whom this or that patient lives. It was Pirel who introduced this rule in his hospital. He found it useful and it has been proven many times. He found the necessary count, but he lacked the emotions that overwhelmed him. According to the map, this patient had no neighbors at all. He was initially placed in a double ward, but a neighbor was never brought in. Pirel got up from the sofa and left the office, grabbing a white coat on the way. He threw it over his shoulders and quickly walked over to the nurses' station.

- Why are the neighbors not marked on the map 4505? – the doctor opened the necessary page and put the documents on the table.

The nurse put on her glasses and looked at the map, took out a schedule for transferring patients from ward to ward, and shrugged her shoulders.

“Initially, there was no one in that room.” She put down the papers.

- And you did not transfer other patients there? - Pirel raised an eyebrow in surprise, - According to the rules, you are required to change patients' wards once a month, I ordered so!

- Pirel, calm down, - the woman closed the card and noticed a small sticker on the first page. It was a small, confetti-sized, yellow circle. - This is the patient with whom no one can be hooked.

- In terms of?

- We have long tried to transfer many other patients to his ward, but everyone was afraid to even cross the threshold. Once we brought a patient there, laid him on a bed, but an hour later he came to his senses and tried to escape from the ward with all his might. He even bled his fingernails, so we stopped trying.

The man took the documents and thoughtfully fell silent. The guy said that the neighbor saw him, even helped him. Maybe he was delirious because of the drugs. Side effects include hallucinations, so it's not surprising that he saw a neighbor who wasn't there.

- And who was with him in the same room this hour? Pirel glanced at the nurse again.

The woman sighed wearily and opened the translation journal again.

- Patient number 5132.

- When it was?

- It was September 11th. On the same day, he moved to the sixth ward.

- Give me his card, - the doctor held out his hand, - In which ward is he now?

"He's in room eight right now," the nurse handed over the card and yawned sleepily.

- I'll take the card home, thanks and see you tomorrow, - Pirel took both cards and left towards the office.

The man packed his things and went home. It is worth taking a break from the hospital and getting some sleep, although the doctor actually planned to review card number 5132 and the drugs prescribed to number 4505 on that day, September 11th.
