Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Emily looked at Luke, his eyes had the firm paranoia she was familiar with. This is unique to the military, once determining things, they would not change.

Therefore, it is useless to say too much.

The corners of Emily's mouth raised in a smile, nodded and said, "Well, I know."

Luke had been a soldier for eight years and was considered a veteran. He said this sentence to many newcomers and they were either scared to death, or furious. It was the first time for him to hear such a crisp and carefree response that Luke almost forgot what he was going to say next.

"Stand still! I said I demand that another forensic scientist be sent! I will not leave my comrades in the hands of a vain woman!"

Luke blocked in front of Emily with a fierce face. In his opinion good-looking women were vain and superficial. Emily frowned slightly, she disliked this kind of people who were impulsive, bigoted, self-righteous.

After a while, Emily took off her gloves, and her heart was a little blocked, but she still said, "Well, find someone to replace me."

"Emily!" Frank and the others immediately stopped her, and turned to Luke and said discontentedly, "Officer Hill, I hope you understand that this case is the responsibility of our police department, and you are only standing here as an officer involved in the case, without any right to express your opinion."

"Hmph, is that so?" A trace of bloodlust flashed in Luke's eyes as he sneered, "Do you believe that I can make you have no authority over this case with just one word?"

Seeing Frank's upset face, Emily sighed in her heart. The military was a place commanding real power, and the people inside were just so domineering that no one dared to casually offend. Emily thought to herself, this was also one of the reasons that attracted her to the army.

However, this person was at best a junior soldier, the real leader was not him. What's the point of being arrogant.

Emily's eyes flashed a trace of malice, she looked up at Luke, smiled. Her face and eyes also tinged with laughter, "The big shot here is not you, so what you say does not count. Am I right?" After Emily finished, her arm pointed straight to the right in the direction of thirty-five degrees.

Seeing Emily pointing in that direction, Luke's eyebrows jumped.

Precise, without hesitation.

Wow shit!

How did this woman know that their boss was there, she definitely guessed! Absolutely!

Emily looked at Luke, the surprised Frank and the others, took a step and walked in the direction pointed. But as Emily had just taken a step, the man who had been leaning against the car, giving the wrong impression that he was standing guard next to the car slowly raised his head, a pair of sharp and shrewd eyes looked straight at Emily.

Another damn special forces sniper!

The man raised his head completely, the cold hard brim of his hat no longer obscured, which allowed people to see his looks clearly. The whole face was rigid and well-defined, with soft and hard lines, giving the impression that it was like a brush carving. His chin was perfectly shaped. His lips were slightly thin. His nose was high. His eyes were narrow and long, and the light from the end of his eyes was a little cold and intense.

He stood slightly straight, giving a strong sense of power, like a lion ready to launch an attack, and as if the next moment he would be ready to give the enemy a fatal blow. However, when lurking, he was so lazy that he did not have the slightest killing power.

Every move of this man was obviously so dazzling, but just now no one found him!

The man stood in front of Emily, and his magnificent stance covered her entire body with a sense of oppression.

"Adam Harris."

His voice was magnetic and his face was gentle with a smile. This man was definitely an elite in the special troops, and both physically and mentally, were extremely excellent.

Emily judged unconsciously.

"Emily Miller."

Adam Harris took the initiative to extend his hand. Emily froze for a moment, and shook his hand. This was a handsome man, so a handshake was not a bad thing at all.

Adam glanced at Emily with a smile. His smile gave people a very gentle feeling with a kind of bookish kind of literary quality and clear comfort. If he wasn't wearing a military uniform, one would have thought he was an elite at the very top of society. When Adam’s big hand was holding that soft white and tender little hand, he was thinking in his mind that the woman he was going to date today seemed to be named Emily, what a coincidence.
