Chapter 5 Fifth

Chapter 5 Fifth

“What exactly do you mean?”

"It's simple; you kill that person," he said, smiling.

What he says is like a bomb exploded on me. Am I going to kill people? My job is to save lives, not kill them. No matter what happens, I will do everything I can to keep someone alive. But with this old savage man order me to kill innocent?

“You're still dragging other people. Why didn't you fight fairly? "My father says.

“I know that this man is good. And he is rich, so I know nothing else that can be done to get him out of my way. So he should just die.” He says.

I was horrified at what could happen to this man. “I will do it! Spare my daughter; she has nothing to do with what we talked about. I agree to give my company as payment for my debt to you. So let us go first." My father said.

Esteban laughed out loud. “You thought everything was that easy, Patterson. You're a businessman too. Why are you so stupid now?” Esteban says to my daddy.

My chest heaved with anger because of this man. I have no choice right now. My dad and I are at stake.

I took a deep breath. So, being a daughter prevailed more than being a doctor. Even now, I've just become selfish. I looked at the old man and grinned. He was frowning. Surely, my reaction was unexpected. "All right, I will do what you order, but on one condition," I said, twisting the old man's smile. Esteban laughed out loud. "What's that?" he asked me. "Let go of my daddy and don't bother him anymore," I said. The old man was whistling. "I agree, but on one condition. You can't break what you said; you have to kill them right away.” He told me.

“Don't make the mistake of running away from me because I will always watch your actions.” He said to me in an emphatic voice once, after smoking a cigarette.

"Let them go home!" Stephen commanded his men. I gasped because from now on, my life was mortgaged to hell. The only wrong move is that I will die. I held my daddy's hand as we walked out of Esteban's house.

I sat him on the couch and gave him water. He drank it and looked at me.

"I'm sorry, Princess, I didn't know it all came to this. You've been affected by the chaos of my life." He told me.

"Daddy, it's all happened, so you can't blame yourself anymore," I said.

“It would be better for you to go home to the Philippines to Mommy's family first. I can't move properly as long as I'm with you. I know that Esteban will kill us too.” I told him.

I just think he can no longer agree. "Everywhere I go, princess, Esteban will not let me go." My father said in a frustrated voice.

Daddy, I will do what he commands for our safety.” I told him. People will kill you! Can you do that? You are a doctor who will save people.” Dad told me. I sat down.

“I know, Daddy, but I have no choice. But to choose your safety over being a doctor.” I said.

"I'm old, Princess. I can die." He told me.

“Do not talk like that," I said.

“But you are still young and you have come a long way in life, so you can't do the thing that will ruin you.” My father said.

"I want to see you have a family on your own." Daddy said to me.

"Whether I do it or not, dad, we will also die," I said in a sad voice.

Daddy hugged me. "I'm sorry, princess." It whispered to me.

While Atlas is restless in his house, He was always looking at his phone, but he did not receive even a single message from his girlfriend. What happened to that woman? I tried to call her but I couldn't get in touch, so I was worried too. I call one of my bodyguards.

“Fausto, just visit Cathaliya’s place for me. Just see to it that she’s okay." I said.

"Okay, sir," He said.

It left in front of me and went out of the house. I went to the kitchen and found my other bodyguard eating.

"Eat it, sir," Gustav told me.

I just nodded in response. I get water and drink it. I went to the terrace while carrying a glass of water. The first time in history that Cathaliya got angry with me. I don’t know why. Then my phone beeps and I receive Fausto’s message saying that Cathaliya is okay. I felt relieved.

I decided to sleep early since I’m tired. I went inside the bedroom and lay down on the bed. The next day, I woke up to sunlight hitting my bedroom window. I got out of bed and went out the door to drink water in the kitchen. The whole house was so quiet that I didn’t know where my bodyguards were. When I entered the kitchen, I saw a beautiful woman in her forties wearing a white apron. The woman who gave me light and let me enjoy life to the fullest. She was busy cooking something, so she didn’t notice my presence. I sneeze to get her attention.

“Even if you don't speak yet, I know you're there.”

He told me this without even bothering to look at me. I laughed.

"Good morning, mommy. I missed the time I would wake up early and meet you in the kitchen.”I said, hugging her back.

"I miss you too, my life." She answered me. It left the spoon in the dish and addressed me. "You're still beautiful, my, and you don't seem to be getting older," I said.

She's smirking. “Atlas, don't make my heart grow fat; you still had a mistake.” She said.

I laughed while frowning. "What should be my sin to you?" I asked her.

"You never called me to say hello," it told me.

"I'm too busy with my wedding, so I didn't have time to call you." It frowned.

“You’re getting married and forget about me right away? What if I get old, and you abandon me?” She said to me.

"That won't happen, mom," I told her.

“Okay, sit down, so that you can eat breakfast." She said to me.

“Did you see my bodyguards, mom? I asked her.

"In the back of the house, bathing in the swimming pool. I think they are competing to see who has the better body." My mommy giggles.

“Sometimes I bring here my executive assistant, an old maid, so she can get married. This is the only place you can find those hunky men. After all, there won't be a chance to look for another date because of your surveillance.” Mommy says. I'm laughing.

"Mom, they're all married, so your EA no longer had a chance," I told her.

She went on to say,

"They will separate." Said mommy while smiling.

I shook my head since I notice my mother’s bitterness. I don’t know what exactly happens between her and dad. In my six-year relationship with Cathaliya, she only saw my mommy once. Because my mommy gets busy when the opportunity arises. But I'll just leave if mommy avoids seeing and talking to Cathaliya, that's what I don't know.

"How’s your wedding preparation? I heard that your wedding is going on.” Mommy said.

"Yes, my," I responded.

"I wish you good luck, Love. You know that I love you so much.” She said. I smiled at her in response.

“Just make sure, dad, you go to the Philippines. Just this once. Don't be stubborn.” I told him.

“No matter what happens, don’t tell my sister,” I said.

He nodded hard as I carried his suitcase. He entered the car, and I followed him in the front seat. I will take him to the airport to ensure he goes to the Philippines. When we arrived at the airport, one airplane was ready on board. My dad got out of the car and followed me. I carried his suitcase as she slowly walked in. I hugged him tightly and whispered,

"Be careful, dad, get on board right away because they are watching our movements," I said.

I noticed my daddy stiffened on the stand and walked into the airport. I got in the car and stayed first to make sure dad entered the airplane safely. Then I noticed some of Esteban's men looking in my direction. It's true what he says; he will watch over my actions. I took a deep breath, I was just like a hired killer. The plane has taken on, and I'm sure my daddy is safe on board.
