After showering, I step out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body. I go to the closet and pick out my workout clothes: gray leggings, a black sports bra, and an unzipped hoodie. I have training with Joan today, so I finish getting dressed and head downstairs with very little enthusiasm.

Edwin: Love, take your headache pills.

Nikki: Okay.

Without hesitation, I go to the kitchen where I find the pills and a glass of orange juice waiting for me. I take the pills.

Edwin: They'll start working in a little while.

Nikki: I just hope it's quick.

Edwin chuckles.

Edwin: But what about yesterday? Weren't...
