Xavier's POV

Looking at Amelia in the hospital, a lot of things were popping up in my mind. She had become a changed person and I believed that was my fault. I pushed her beyond her limits. I decided to take it easy with her.

Before I could show that I was no longer at war with her, she repeated her question rudely using the annoying voice, "Are you ready to pay?"

I didn't take offense, I found a seat and calmed myself down. "On the phone, you asked how much I can offer for the baby. Why do I need to make an offer if the baby isn't mine?"...
