Chapter Three
There was no beat to the silence that followed the music's conclusion.
I sat still , my body shaking under the pressure of his stare, my breath coming in short gasps. My hands remained on his shoulders, and his hands remained on my hips.
We were caught, in a moment that, if any of us quit, it might still be written off as a game or a joke. However, neither of us made any movement.
I muttered, "You don't even know my name," as it was the only reasoning I had left.
A slow, deadly smile twisted his lips. "When your body really knows mine, names are irrelevant."...
