One sniff and Alpha Thakros knew I wasn't a wolf.

“Who are you?” he demanded.

I was trembling. I had to remember that he couldn’t recognise me anymore. But being human was equally dangerous. Humans were banned from wandering the Plains.

Alpha Thakros noticed my hesitation and grabbed my wrist. I shuddered. “Who are you?!” he thundered.

I searched for words. “I am…I - “ I had forgotten the princess’s name. I glanced at Aliyah and thought.

That should make sense.
