As I sat in our living den, Ciara walked in, a look of frustration and amusement on her face. "You won't believe what happened at work today," she said, flopping down onto the couch beside me.

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Try me," I said, smiling.

Ciara breathed in and launched into the story of Alexio's latest antics. She told me about how he had shown up at the office, begging for forgiveness and trying to convince her to take him back. She told me about how he had become increasingly agitated and desperate, eventually collapsing into tears and pleading with her to forgive him.
