Ciara’s POV
It took a few hours and I arrived at Beverly Pack. I was going to the pack house to sign my name in the registry as an intending pack resident together with Nancy.
I glared around at the airport, looking for direction when I spotted someone.
A tall, handsome man with black wavy hair, with a romantic yet domineering aura stood from the distance glaring at me.
He raised his hand at me, waving into the air.
“Hello Ciara.”
My heart stopped beating as I widened my eyes the more, seeing it’s the Alpha of this pack himself. I shrieked in awe.
“Why are you here?” I asked in surprise. “Alpha Bestian?”
“Well, I decided to welcome the newest member of my pack, Beverly Pack myself. I got notified that you left your pack for mine. It’s an honor to have you here.”
My heart glowed and a warm smile pulled up from my lips. “Woww, but I’m just coming in as a resident to do business. Were you tracking my flight or?”
“Yes, my wolf could–”
“Huh?”
“My wolf has always longed for you.” I felt it was a lie, he's teasing me. How could his wolf tell him when I left my pack?
I was speechless. “We should go to the pack house first,” I said to him because I felt that if I continued to listen to these romantic words from him, my knees would grow weak and I’d have to be carried by him.
We settled in his living room after the registration, he said he had a lot to tell me but I could guess what all those were.
He likes me!
Right from college.
“Should I say it’s the moon goddess that has directed you here to my pack.”
I blushed.
“Because you like me?”
The blush was getting wider, I had to control it. I shook my head. “I feel it’s because you welcome more immigrants than other packs. I came to do business and then–” I lingered, looking for a way to spit this out.
“You're his best friend.” I flinched my face away immediately after saying this.
I knew he had always been looking for a way to be close with me like this, but I wasn’t ready for another heartbreak, before choosing another mate, it would be a careful consideration.
“So you have a place you can suggest for me to live and do my business?” I put up a straight face.
“Hmm,” he smiled. I lowered my gaze on him wondering where he was heading to.
“There’s nothing wrong if you stay here in the pack house, it’s quite large and I have no Luna.”
I chuckled. “I’m just an immigrant treated badly by my ex, I can’t just pick you up as my new mate.”
I’d merely said this when I received a call from Henry, the security guard I’d ask to update me on whatever is going on.
“Hello Henry, what’s up?”
“My Luna.” He called out. Again, the name that always drew me back to Alexio. I hated it, but wasn’t bold enough to admit it for now.
“The Alpha is in a deep mess after your massive reveal.” He said. “He is currently facing judgement and might be stripped of his position as an alpha.” He added. “More than that, he might be sentenced to many years in the dungeon for the attempted murder. The council has seen this, even the lycan king.”
“Is this really happening?” I asked myself. “What about Camilla?” I asked him. My heart beat triple fast with excitement. This is what I wanted.
“Camilla is on the run with all his money. She could not stay anymore after the reveal because she knew she would be sent to the dungeon or hanged, so she ran away.”
Whaaaattt????
“She however taunted him openly before then. It’s all over the internet too.” He explained.
“I heard she sneaked into his private room, got the key to his drawer, grabbed his cheque already signed and stamped and wrote almost all of his remaining money.”
“Huh?”
“She came back to the estate and asked him to marry her as soon as possible since you left.”
“I’m pretty sure Alexio didn’t have any problem with that?”
“Yes, he did.” Henry snapped. “But she requested a three hundred thousand monthly stipend, without fail.”
The audio began to play in the background.
“I never thought you could be so lenient to write such a huge amount to that bitch!” By her voice, she was really angry.
“I did that because you said I should, that you would get it back.” He replied to her, but she waved it off.
“Let’s get married and you will treat me to more goodies. Three hundred thousand dollars monthly.” She demanded.
“Huh?” Alexio gasped loudly. “For?” He swayed his hands, surprised and shocked.
“Yes,” Camilla replied firmly. “If not, I’m not going to marry you. I’m after your money. What do you think I'll do with a stingy man who can't fund my lifestyle?” She confessed.
Boom!
I felt like this was a very great judgment to him since I was a good Luna and wife, yet he said he wanted his sexy Beta.
After that confrontation, she walked out on him and that was where the video ended.
Henry told me it was after that encounter that the videos I posted became viral and people started protesting at Alpha Alexio’s house.
The council called to meet with him immediately and when he went, it was the perfect time for Camilla to take all his money and leave the pack secretly.
According to him, Alexio had nothing now. It all happened with a twinkle of an eye and if nothing is done would basically live like a pauper.
Just as he ended the call and I met with Alpha Bestian, I was video called by Alpha Alexio.
At first, I didn’t want to answer, but when I remembered that Alpha Bestian was with me and I could put up the best show for him, I quickly did.
“Please come back to me, I’m gonna get paralyzed if I don’t see you.” He said immediately I took the call, his eyes red from many tears.
I chuckled even further, hurting him obviously.
Just then, Alpha Bestian walked to me, clearly visible to Alpha Alexio now. My lips were fighting to suppress the grin that was bubbling up. Alexio needed to see that I was with his best friend.
“Who is that?” Alexio asked me.
I was shy but managed to get it off and pulled Alpha Bestian closer, put on the blurry face filter and kissed Bestian in the video call with him watching.
“This is the reason I can’t come back.”
I smiled at Alexio as I pulled off this sinister move that virtually ripped his heart out and crushed it as a stone.
