THIRD POV
After what felt like an eternity, the nurse finally returned to the den, a warm smile on her face. "Good news," she said, her eyes brightened with enthusiasm. "The test results are ready, and the doctor would like to see you in her office to discuss them."
Lisa's eyes narrowed slightly, her mind racing with the possibilities. She had been waiting for what felt like hours, and she was eager to finally get some answers. Steve, who had been sitting next to her, stood up, his expression neutral.
"Let's go," he said, his voice firm but detached. He wasn't interested in Lisa's well-being, only in how her condition...
