I woke up with my face swollen from crying. Even when my whole body protested against it, I got up from the bed. I was sore all over and aching in places I shouldn't be.

I turned hard throughout the night; sleep was far away from me. How could I have slept knowing my life was in danger, and any moment from now, this could suck the energy from one's eyes?
