CLAIRE'S POV

“You're welcome, ma'am.” All the employees of the Bricks Wine Empire stood in a queue, creating a space for me to pass in the middle while they bowed their heads in greeting.

“She looks though, you know.”

“Sure. I'm afraid she'll be capable of retrenching all her staff at the slightest mistake.” ******** The employees chatted in whispers, unknown to them that my ears were sharp enough to grasp all their words.

“Hey, congratulations, girlfriend. I never thought of you making it this big just within a few years of getting married to Frank!” My friend complimented me. I chuckled.

“Neither did I.” I replied casually....
