THE COURTROOM.
Sophia’s POV:
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as I stare at myself in the mirror. Even with the air conditioner temperature reduced to 17°, the fat in me burned so rapidly that my outfit was suddenly getting wet.
“Sophia! Are you ready?” My dad's voice echoed through the corridors.
“Yes, Dad.” I answered and sniffed, using my hands to clean my tears so that he wouldn't notice my blurry vision.
