Jayden went back and forth, tightly gripping onto the phone to his ear as he spoke with the investigator. It was a tense ring to his tone.

"What did you find?" he asked immediately, his other hand tugging at his hair.

The voice of the researcher was strong yet soothing. "Mr. Blackwood, there was a strong attempt to delete the files at the very same time we accessed the data. We can clearly tell that someone doesn't want this truth to come to light."

Jayden's jaw clenched. "Who?" he growled.

"We're on it," the detective said. "But I was able to salvage a few good ones before they were deleted....
