🌀 Ethan's POV 🌀

"Great, I'll teach you, meet me at the gym after closing hour" she said with a smile "and you better be there"

I just stared at her and brought my eyes back to the front. What does she mean?, Why does she want to teach me how to play basketball?

The class started minutes later and after 3 classes, the bell chimed for a break

Moments after the bell ranged, two girls entered the class and came to meet the lady sitting beside me, though they looked at me with a suprised face

"Jade" they called as they entered the class

Ohh, so her name is Jade

"Who's this" one of the girls asked pointing at me

"Long story girls, let's get out of here, it's suffocating sitting beside this Shrimp" Jade said as she stood up and they left the class

I brought back my focus to my biology textbook and started reading

Minutes later, someone came by my side and spoke

"Hello" he said but I kept quiet cause I didn't really think he was talking to me

"Hello" he said again but this time, he tapped me

I looked up at him and he smiled

"My name's James, you are Ethan right?" He asked and I nodded

"Okay, I guess you don't talk much but we kinda have a thing in common right now" he said

"What?" I managed to ask

"We'll both be getting the basketball treatment from Jade today"

"Basketball treatment?" I asked

"Ohh, my bad, you are new, am sure you don't know what that means, well it's kind of a punishment Jade gives out to people who gets her angry. You just stand in the basketball court and she throws balls at you and trust me, she throws them hard" he said

"Why would you just stand and let her do that?" I asked suprised

"Well, she's the daughter of the owner of the school, she's like the heir of the school, some teachers are even afraid to cross her. The last time a student retaliated when he was being bullied, she told her Dad and the boy was expelled. So you see, better to be bullied than to be expelled" James said with a shrug

I didn't say anything and just nodded, I can't believe I got on the bad side of the school's greatest bully on my first day

"Do you wanna grab lunch together?, at the cafeteria" he asked

"No" I said as I focused back on my book

"Okay, see you later then" he said and left

🌀 Jade's POV 🌀

I walked out of the class with my friends and we went to the cafeteria.

Immediately we entered the cafeteria, everywhere became quiet and our table close to the window

One of the cooks rushed to us and asked what we wanted to eat. We all ordered our food and soon it was served to us

"So who was the boy sitting beside you Jade" Emma asked

"Yeah, I thought you don't like having a seatmate" Daisy said

"Of course I don't want a seatmate but I have no choice now, Mrs Logan made him seat beside me cause there's no other empty seat in the class" I said angrily

"What!, So he'll be seating with for like, a year" Daisy exclaimed

"Seems so and worse, he's a scholarship student" I said

"Ewww" Emma said making a disgusting face "I hate scholarship students, they are usually the nerdy type"

"And could you believed, one of those dummies disobeyed my rule and sat down on my seat this morning" I said

"He's got some nerves" Daisy said

"Yeah, what did you do to him?" Emma asked

"Well, I invited him to the gym after closing hour, along with the newbie" I said with a smile

"Wow, way to go girl" Emma said

"High five" Daisy said and we all high fived

"So Jade, what about Cole? Daisy asked

"He's fine" I replied

"Come on girl, give us more gist" Emma said

"There's no gist Emma, he's fine, that's it" I said

"But you guys are still dating?" Daisy asked

"Of course, as long as he continues to be the most handsome and popular boy in school, am gonna date him" I said

"Speaking of Cole" Emma said as she raised her brows at someone behind me

"Baby" Cole said as I felt his hands on my shoulders as he gave me a peck

"Hi Cole" I said as he sat down with us

"How are you you guys doing" he asked

"We are good" Emma answered

"Though some guys got on Jade's nerves today" Daisy said

"Really!, What happened?" He asked

"Long story, but not to worry, I already asked them to meet me at the gym after school" I said with a smile

"Great, I'll definitely be there" he said "I gotta go guys, I've got a basketball practice" he said as he stood up

"Okay" Emma said

"Good bye" Daisy said

"Bye y'all, later Jade" he said

"Later" I replied and he left

We had some more lectures and I kept praying quietly for the bell not to ring but seems like my prayer wasn't answered as the bell ranged moments later

I turned to look at Ethan and I heard Jade speaking to him

"Be in the gym in the next 10 minutes or get ready to be expelled" she said and stood up taking her backpack

She walked past me, stopped and turned back

"Am sure I don't need to remind you too" she said and left the classroom

I walked up to Ethan and he was putting his books into his backpack

"Come on man, let's go" I said and he stood up and followed me

We entered the gym and met Jade, Daisy, Emma and Cole already there

"Who are they" Ethan asked

"Those girls, including Jade, we call them the BARBs, Beautiful and Rude Bullies. The guy, he's Cole, most popular and handsome guy in school and he's Jade's boyfriend" I explained but he didn't reply he just nodded

"And you guys took your time to get here" Jade said

"Which one is the scholarship boy?" Emma asked

"Lemme guess, it's this one" Daisy said pointing at Ethan "He has the nerdy look but he's cute though"

"Yeah" Emma giggled

"Enough guys, he doesn't look cute to me, it's a pity he's gonna get hit with balls on his first day" Cole said "Just get on with it Jade"

"Who wants to go first?" Jade asked"what about you James" she said

"O.... okay" I stuttered as I moved forward

Before I knew what was happening, a ball hit my head and I groaned but they all giggled. She hit me again and then stopped

"What's wrong Jade, why did you stopped" Cole asked

"This isn't fun anymore" Jade said "come forward newbie" she said and Ethan came forward

"You look kinda cute and I don't want to injure your pretty face, so instead of taking my ball hits, you gonna be my servant for a week" she said with a smirk "You'll come to school before me and wait for me by the gate to open the door for me when my car arrives, and you are going to run my errands for me just like my own personal maid, understand?" she asked and Ethan just nodded

"Now get the hell out of here" she yelled and we both left the gym quickly

"You are in for big trouble Ethan, Jade's gonna humiliate you" I said as we went out of the school

Ethan didn't say a word, he just smiled and left.

That boy has no idea what he's in for
