No way I was delivering packages to her again.

I stared at the package description in my hands, the recipient details clear and bold to my eyes. “To Sophia Reese.” Apartment 4B.

That apartment was way too familiar for me to forget. The same unit I’d been walking up to for eight straight months. Same building, same third-floor landing that was always the same. Same woman who had somehow figured out how to request me specifically every single time.

I didn’t know how she did it. Maybe she left notes for the dispatcher. Maybe she just kept ordering at the exact hours she knew I worked this route....
