The yacht cut steadily across the open sea, leaving a long white trail behind it.
The sun sat high in the sky, warm but not harsh, casting a soft glow over everything. Laughter occasionally drifted across the deck, but it never quite reached me.
I stood by the railing, my fingers resting lightly against the cool metal, my gaze fixed on the horizon.
From afar, I looked calm.Untouchable.
But inside, my thoughts refused to settle.
Winnie approached quietly, handing me a drink.
