The afternoon sun glowed warmly over the city streets.

Winnie and I sat inside her white sports car as it exited the underground parking lot of The Modern mall.

Winnie was still laughing.“I swear I’ll remember Liora’s face forever.”She mimicked Liora’s stunned expression dramatically.“Vanilla ice cream… right on the nose.”

I leaned back comfortably in the passenger seat.My lips curved slightly.“She deserved worse.”

Winnie glanced sideways at me.“You’re getting savage.”

I shrugged.“They started it.”
