I paused.
That voice, I knew it.
I turned, scanning the walkway until I saw a familiar figure running straight toward me. My heart instantly eased. I smiled before I even realized it.
Sebastian.
My little brother.
Roman stepped back immediately, his tall frame pulling away just as Sebastian skidded to a stop in front of me, panting, his red curls bouncing as he pushed up his crooked glasses.
“Seb,” I said with a laugh. “Why did you run? You’re going to trip—”
