I didn’t even have time to take a proper breath before Hades deepened the kiss, his mouth moving against mine with an intensity that made my thoughts scatter. It felt like he was trying to swallow me whole, like the world had narrowed down to nothing but him.

My head spun almost immediately, a dizzy rush spreading through me as my knees buckled beneath the force of it. I barely had time to register the loss of balance before my hands instinctively fisted into the front of his shirt, clinging to him as if I would fall apart without that anchor.
