Airin shrugged from Charlie's grip when she heard Les's thunderous voice. Out of the corner of her eyes she noticed Charlie's sly grin.

"I'm not doing anything wrong to Airin, Crawford," Charlie interrupted what Airin was supposed to say.

It was Airin's first time to see Les angry like this. His blue eyes turned into a darker shade that it almost looked black. Gone was the Les she knew. The person standing in front of her seemed like a stranger.
