My eyes widened, and my pulse quickened once I saw that face.

My mum's brow raised in surprise when he introduced himself.

Her surprise faded into excitement. “Oh my God, Mr. Vincenzo, it feels so nice to finally meet you!” she said with a warm smile, and I could tell she liked him already.

Not sure if she really knew who he was, she didn't act like she recognized that name. Anyone who knows how deadly that name is wouldn't be smiling so clumsily in front of him like my mum was doing right now.
