LEONARDO’S POV
The moonlight painted the clearing as Leonardo paced restlessly, with Bianca hidden within the shadows of a nearby cave. A lone howl pierced the night, shattering the silence. Alessandro looked ragged and grief-stricken.
Seeing him again awakened some forgotten pain. This bastard actually left me for dead. I approached him, my face void of a smile. “Alessandro? What brings you here, unharmed but looking like death itself?”
He was without his guards, which was unusual. His voice was hoarse, “Bianca… My Bianca… Is gone?”
My heart clenched. How dare he call Bianca as if she were a personal belonging of his? I was enraged but had to pretend....
