Megan POV

The man's words send a shiver down my spine. "Home?" I repeat, my voice trembling with a mixture of disbelief and uncertainty. "What do you mean by 'home'? This is not my home."

The man's smile widens, and he gestures toward the city. "This is the Golden City, where you belong now. Embrace your destiny."

My mind races, trying to process his words. How could this be my home? I have never seen or heard of such a place before. And what does he mean by "embrace your destiny"? None of this makes any sense.
