I wait impatiently at the counter, she's too slow for a cashier, horrid images of eevn spurting out everything that happened last night fills my memory, what if she goes on ranting about me being a wolf to Chris, I had a hard time ending the party last night and covering up my tracks, it would be my last birthday as a human and first as a wolf, I invited several wolves from my pack over to the party,somehow it was infiltrated by rouges

She looks to Darren and then to me

"Yesterday, it was all true , i was right it happened i wasn't dumb or crazy, you turned to a wolf right before my eyes last night?"

"Yes I did, you aren't wierd eevn it's just you going through a phase, everyone goes through it"

"Loving the books, letters, the documentary , everything was just a pull , I spent half of my life thinking I was the wierd one comparing myself to you and this is what you are?, You mocked me Gabriella, at school, at home everywhere you called me a dork, an novel addict a wierdo but in the end you are a wolf?"

"Yes it was eevn, i admit to being a pain in your ass and I'm soory but I couldn't let you find out what I really was, you were catching up to me and I needed to keep your true self in check till it's time for you to shift, humans must not know if our existence it's better they fit it into their imaginations, books and movies any more than that and we would become prey to all races, come on out now we have plenty to catch up on and you Darren get out of this house now, your work here is done"

He walks away from us out of the room, pull eevn by the hand, usjering her to sit, she complies looking at me akwardly for a while,

"Darren, who is he to you?"

"Hes a childhood friend, we grew up together in a pack house, his father was the gamma to our pack , when the alpha died a new one emerged and replaced his father with another gamma , he decided to turn rouge but I guess it's for personal reasons"

" Am I really a wolf?"

"You see , eevn you come from a long line of purebloods, you inherited it from your parents but they don't know of their bloodline, wolves live and travel in packs your ancestors left the pack to live as lone wolves to the best of my knowledge,they lived a long life and brought forth your mum , they must have done something to her wolf they probably tampered with it she grew among humans not learning of her true roots, unlike them you found solace , passion, care and love in your books , you love wolf books for a reason, you began to get curious about them, then you began your research on them loving wolves and wanting to become one unkown to you, you are and have always been one "

She bites in her lower finger

"I get what you are explaining but how does that make me a lycan?, Or purebloods?, My parents are wolf and my mum had her wolf tampered with but that doesn't make me special like you are making it out to be"

I place my fingers on my brows feeling frustrated, she's becoming annoying several baseless questions flowing in one after the other

"Yes eevn I just said so , you belong to my pack antsy moon pack, your ancestors were lone wolves but before they decided to become lone wolves they belonged to my pack, you sure do ask lots of questions"

I bite on my tongue, fuming with anger

"Instincts eevn, you smell like one, I caught your scent the first time you came on a trip to my house, I knew there was something off about you until I was sent over to keep my eyes on you , wolves have insticts and can easily tell a wolf apart from a mundane, you write it all in your books why act this dumb now it's happening? "

"Your parents are also?"

"Wolves, yes eevn they are, my parents and your parents come from a similar ancestor long ago, i was sent into this family to help you understand your wolf eevn you are a pureblood a very unique and scare breed, people will come for you sooner or later, when your wolf beings to surface "

"My wolf!!!, , I'd have to shift"

I walk out on Gabriella shutting the door in her face, reaching for my phone I dial up Zack's number

"Hi , this is Zack I'm sorry but you have to leave a message , I'm not available right now , byeee"

"Fuck, voicemail,"

I sigh feeling disappointed but what what would I say, hi Zack turns out I'm a wolf?, He'd break up with me immediately, he'd probably think I'm going awol and being paranoid, I sob quietly hating my life,I've always wanted to be special, unique and stand out among others but now it's finally happen I feel miserable, Ive been hearing on my life ever since I started high school , everyone sneers at me calling me wierd and all,

I was fortunate enough to have Anita and Chris as friends but more fortunate to have Zack as a boyfriend, he loves me a lot and keeps people and their sneers or hate away from me but it doesn't help most times, ever since he became captain of the school's lacrosse team, I've received more hate and now finally my wishes become true it really sucks, nothing will ever be the same , how would I handle it all, I can't even speak to my friends or parents about it, I don't think I can go through with this, my grandparents found ways to dampen their wolves maybe I can too
