Azrial swung the satchel over his torso as he took one final look at his camp. He knew that they were against him going but they would simply have to get over it. He was doing it for the betterment of his people and soon enough they would thank him for what he has done for them. He began making his way out into the forest and he couldn’t help the dark thoughts that crept into his mind. He seemed to constantly be running from something and with him being the last strong hold in his pack he was all that they had left.
He began moving towards the path that led towards no man’s land. It was free territory which meant that it was openly accessible to all the hunters. He had left at night to give him the advantage of camouflage but he knew that soon enough the sun would rise over the horizon once more.
He was silent except for the leaves that crunched beneath his feet. He hadn’t shifted into his wolf form because he knew that his resources were limited. In his wolf form he consumed more energy and he only wanted to use it when it was necessary. The trip to the mountains was said to be two days and he would have to go through two other packs in order to get there.
Alphas were never fans of strangers in their territory and so he knew that he would have to brace himself for rough encounters. He was able to make it through hunters’ territory and he was pleasantly surprised when he was able to make it through unscathed. He had not seen many signs of the hunters themselves and he was relieved and glad for the]at.
The first pack that he came across was red valley. Like its name suggested; it was nestled In the valley which was surrounded by red bushes, and they were well hidden and didn’t take kindly to strangers. They had been apprehensive about letting him in at first hurt as he had expected his task; they had considered him a fool for searching for a fairytale e but nevertheless they had still let him through.
He had reached the blue weathers pack next and they were much friendlier. They had taken his status as an Alpha to mean that he would mean no harm and they had given him food and a warm fur to sleep in. He was beyond grateful for their immense hospitality and he was almost saddened to leave.
At the break of dawn he packed up his things before making his way out of the pack. They were still asleep and as a sigh of gratitude he had left for them one of the scrolls on water manipulation that he had uncovered.
He made his way out of the pack, traveling for the rest of the morning until the sun was high in the sky. He finally caught sight of the two large mountains that stood tall in front of him. He had gulped at the sight as he had to admit that they seemed even larger now when he took a look at them up close. He pulled out his scroll from his satchel as he read through the scroll.
“When the sun hits the apex of mount Salv, the truth will surely reveal itself.” The scroll read and he couldn’t help but furrowed his eyebrows at the words.
If there were two mountains then how was it possible that it was one that the scroll was referring to. The sun was just then passing through the first mountain and he watched as nothing happened. He waited for several hours and watched as the sun passed over the second mountain and he couldn’t help but gasp at the sight.
When the sun hit the second mountain he watched as its snowy appearance faded and it seemed to turn a clear glassy appearance. And right in the center of it could make out what looked like stairs.
And it was only then that he understood what the scrolls had been trying to tell him.
Azrial journeyed to the base of the twin mountain as he found a tunnel along the side of the mountain. He makes his way inside and is met with darkness as he walks in cautiously.
He scans his eyes frantically around the tunnel as he sees a ray of light in the distance. He found himself drawn to it. He followed the light as it led him into a cobblestone cove with a pedestal in the middle. Azrial approaches the pedestal cautiously as he felt the ground began to shake beneath his feet.
He stumbles slightly as he feels a force try to pull him back. At the last moment he reaches out to touch the pedestal and watches as it opens up to reveal a blue rose. He gasps at the sight as a blue light flashes through his eyes before he reaches out and grabs it.
He watches the cave walls begin to crack as a surge of energy goes through him and he falls to the floor suddenly before it all goes blank.
