My sense of smell, sharp even in human form, is weak before its bright, pungent scents. They furiously harass me, turn my head, easily deprive me of strength.
And the sounds outside do not in any way resemble either the velvet crunch of snow under the paws, or the sad wolf song, or the soft noise of the cold sea. The city is buzzing: loud screams are heard, wagons rumble loudly, iron horseshoes on horse hooves hit stones. The lasso sounds so strong that it lays the ears out of habit. Never heard such a piercingly loud noise.
And in this living, restless city, I am alone against all these...
