Gath rushed out immediately following the trail of the footprint. I followed him carefully as I watched him, my face contorted with a mixture of fear and curiosity.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“The last time I saw these green footprints were years back,” he explained, his gaze never leaving the trail.

“What is it?”

“Something that is not human,” he revealed as he stopped at the entrance of a basement.
