I felt numb as my whole body was still, Kristen's questions sent a shiver down my spine. Her piercing stare pierced through my heart as I swallowed hard in fear.

Agatha turned to me, her brows furrowed in curiosity as she wondered if I was going to tell her the truth. I turned to Jack for help but his mouth was locked, he flickered his gaze avoiding eye contact with me.

“Are you the Alpha of this pack?”. Kristen asked again, she was staring at me impatiently as she waited for my response.

“Well…” I stammered as drops of sweat appeared on my face.
