I slowly became aware of a splitting pain in my temples as a hard surface leaned further into me. Slowly, I shifted my head, but instantly regretted it as the pain seemed to further increase. In a blink, my eyes fluttered open as they came to rest on an unfamiliar curtain.

 

Suddenly memories came flickering in. Asher and I had done it; we had successfully completed our mating process.  I couldn't smile the smile that crept up my face at the realization that we could truly say we were mates and my full potentials were now in me, only waiting to be unleashed.
