After what felt like an eternity of crying my eyes out, I decided to go to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, and much to my surprise, it was night already.

 

I hurriedly strode through the cavern's corridors and down to the kitchen, pushing the door open as I entered in. Asher was by the freeze, and as of noticing my presence, he spun to face me as I stiffened.

 

His gaze flicked over mine without saying anything, and I decided to take the first bold step towards him as I ambled closer to him before flashing him a bright smile.
