My heart raced as I sat on my bed. I was fast running out of time, and it was all too scary. I had returned back to the cavern a few hours after Elena alerted me to run. How she did that, I still did not know. I thought maybe having that mindlink with her, about why her pack detested her so much, was going to yield some answers, but it proved abortive.

 

Even when I had asked her if there was anything else she would love for me to know. She confirmed there was nothing. Gosh, I was just so tired and frustrated....
