Escaping the rain

Tears stung my eyes at Asher's confession; this was the sweetest thing anyone had ever said to me before.

 

"Don't cry, little wolf. I'm here for you, and I'm always going to be here.".  He smiled as he reached for my face, wiping off the tears that rolled down.

 

"I love you, Asher.".  He nodded.

 

"You didn't say you love me too.".

 

"I thought that was already obvious enough. Besides, if I said I love you too, it would only be an agreement to what you said, and I'm not just agreeing with you because I love you. I love you, Elena.".
