An Encounter with the Moon Goddess

"Ahhh.".  I screamed and groaned as another whip landed on my legs, causing blind pain to rip through me.

 

And then another whip came, and another still. I lost count, and my tears stung my eyes, making it impossible to see.

 

Soon the rain began to fall so heavily, masking the cruel laughter of Lydia and the others, but the guards didn't stop their assault; they were determined to watch me die here tonight, and I guess that wish was going to come true.
