Chapter Forty: New Horizons

Maya had been feeling restless lately, like there was something more out there for her. She had been Alpha of her pack for a few years now, and while she loved her position and her pack, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something else she was meant to do.

One evening, as she and Alex were lying in bed, Maya brought up her concerns.

"Alex, do you ever feel like there's something more out there for us?" she asked, playing with the sheets beneath them.

Alex looked at her, concern etched on his face. "What are you thinking, Maya?"
